Imagine you were a 12 year old witch with a cat-turned-teenager for a babysitter and a garden gnome for a watch dog. Now imagine the aforementioned babysitter licking her paws-- er, hands, and lapping up milk from a bowl.  And in what glorious state is all of this taking place? The best one, of course. Because not only is R.C. Alexander a funny and imaginative guy, he also knows what's up when it comes to setting his book in an awesome city. We can't wait to welcome Mr. R. C. and laugh at all of his jokes. We're sure he'll have lots of them, because his book, Unfamiliar Magic, made us giggle, chortle, chuckle, and even guffaw.
