What is the secret to being popular? If you know, by all means, tell us, because we don't have a clue. While you're at it, stop by Wild Rumpus on Thursday, September 2 at 4pm to swap tips with Amy Ignatow. Actually, you should also make this event a priority if you don't know the key to popularity, because the two girls in Amy Ignatow's book The Popularity Papers don't know it, either. Despite their hard work to remedy that situation, they only succeed at making us laugh so hard that one of our employees' drink came out of her nose. (A bigger success than popularity, in our humble opinions.) But wait! There's more! Even if you care nothing about popularity, but you like art, you're in luck. Not only is the lovely and talented Amy Ignatow an author, she's also an illustrator. (And if you're thinking she may be behind the artwork in The Popularity Papers, slap yourself on the back and call yourself Sherlock.) She's agreed to do an art demonstration for us, her adoring fans, on Thursday. If you're smart, you'll take advantage.
