What happens when a half fox/half fiery dragon is born?

Excellent question! We at Wild Rumpus have also wondered about the possibility of a half fox/half fiery dragon, and so naturally we were extremely excited to hear that Yvonne Lillehaug-Collins had the thoughtfulness to write a book on the subject! Of course we had to have her for a visit. If the question intrigues you (and how could it not), you should come on over on Wednesday, August 4th to meet this ingenious writer.

And now, a little about the book and the woman behind it:

Little Dragon is a fun and exciting story about a half fox and half fiery dragon whose adventures take him through fire and tornado -- from a Midwestern American farm to a Sauk-Fauk Native American village, where Little Dragon assumes a surprising new role.

Discovering the 1930s American heartland, young people will learn from Little Dragon’s lively encounters and amazing experiences. Little Dragon is a great tool to teach valuable lessons about living together in peace and in rhythm with nature, while gaining insights on the essence of hard work, wisdom and love.

About the Author:
Much of this story reflects experiences of the author, Yvonne Lillehaug-Collins, on the North Dakota and Colorado prairies in the 1930s, weaving together what actually happened and what might have happened. Yvonne now lives on the northern California coast in McKinleyville, a small fishing, timber and farming community near the Yurok tribal Rancheria.
