Meet Mo and Curly.
First came Mo. Rumpians call him a dove—ring-necked or collared or turtledove—but the words dove and pigeon are both used to describe that type of bird called Columbidae, of which there are 300 species. Now we finally understand why he was always begging to drive the bus. Thanks for the use of your first name, Mr. Willems.
When we acquired a second dove, we needed a name to complement Mo. When that bird’s call sounded like “N’yuk-n’yuk-n’yuk!” and “Wooo-wooo-wooo,” we knew “Curly” was the perfect fit.
If we get a third dove, can you guess what we will name it?
